Origin and Habitat: Cynanchum socotranumSN|33284]]SN|33284]] (Sarcostemma socotranumSN|33285]]SN|33285]]) is e ndemic to the Soqotra island (Yemen).
Altitude range: 200–650 metres above sea level.
Habitat and Ecology: This species is widespread but never common in succulent shrubland and dwarf shrubland.

Description: Cynanchum socotranumSN|33284]]SN|33284]] (Sarcostemma socotranumSN|33285]]SN|33285]]) is a leafless succulent species consisting of smooth, trailing cylindrical grey-green photosynthetic stems and pale, sweet scented, brownish flowers.
